How to Find Camp Narnia

“This is the land of Narnia,’ said the Faun, ‘where we are now; all that lies between the lamp-post and the great castle of Cair Paravel on the eastern sea.”

-C. S. Lewis, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

Location

The Tribune Bay Outdoor Education Center is made up of beautiful west coast forests and fields, unique cabins, yurts and shelters structures. It has a rich history of operating programming for kids like our campers, and is surrounded by provincial and regional parks with some of the most beautiful and diverse nature the Gulf Islands have to offer. The Outdoor Center has room for all of our usual Camp Narnia programming, as well as some new and unique offerings that we are excited to explore with our campers this summer.

Driving to Camp Narnia

If travelling from Victoria, Nanaimo, or the mainland, travel north on Highway 1 / Route 19 Island Highway, and take Exit 46 for Parksville (marked by a very large “Welcome to Parksville” sign), then turn left on Route 19A and continue straight at the 4-way stop onto Kaye Rd. The entrance to Camp Narnia is on the left hand side, at the mailboxes.

If travelling south from up Island, take Route 19 Inland Island Highway and take Exit 46 for Parksville. Turn right at the 4-way stop onto Kaye Rd. The entrance to Camp Narnia is on the left hand side, at the mailboxes.

Camper Shuttle

We run a shuttle to and from Camp Narnia for campers on check-in and check-out days from Nanaimo. This is to help campers coming from the mainland to get to camp without their parents having to drive onto the ferry and pay expensive car fees. Please Note: our staff are only able to pick up campers on the Nanaimo side of the ferry route, and parents must follow BC Ferries regulations around children riding the ferry. Many parents choose to take the ferry across with their child, enjoy the day in Nanaimo, and then return on a later sailing back to the mainland.

As ferry schedules frequently change, we will get in touch with families booking the ferry shuttle one week before camp by e-mail to confirm which ferry they should take to meet the shuttle.

The camper shuttle runs at a cost of $40 per trip, and can be booked as an extra when registering for camp.
