Parents Info Handbook
Sending your child to camp for the first time is often as exciting and scary for parents as it is for the child. We want you to feel confident about the camp, its staff, and the experience you’re signing your child up for. We also want you to feel supported in knowing exactly what to pack for your child for their week away, and what your role can be in ensuring they have an amazing time at our camp!
We’ve prepared a parent information handbook which is full of all the information most parents need to know. We also know that every family has its own individual situation, and we are always happy to discuss you or your child’s individual needs. feel free to contact us at any time for individual support.

Facilities & Property
Camp Narnia is located on the property of Seven Springs Camp and Retreat Centre. Seven Springs is a fifty acre property made up of forests and open fields. It has the facility to house about fifty campers as well as about twenty staff and volunteers. Campers age six to twelve sleep in the cabins which each house seven campers and their counselors. There is a circle of covered wagons just up the hill from there which houses our teen campers (affectionately called ‘Teenland’). Both have a washroom building and showers with hot water, as well as a fire pit for nighttime campfires and cooking. The main circle also has a large covered pavilion, which is used regularly for quiet time games and crafts.
There is also a main camp building, which includes an activity room large enough for the whole camp, a professional kitchen, the camp office, and an outdoor covered patio where campers eat their meals. The rest of the property is made up of open fields and meadows, wild west coast rain forest, a large pond and a riverbed which runs through the property.
A Day in the Life
Our camp is committed to providing a diverse and fulfilling experience for as many families as we can, and we work hard to keep the price of sending your child to camp reasonable and accessible. We also occasionally reduce the registration cost for families in need. We are a privately owned, independent camp and we receive no support from public funds, charities, or other organisations; our ability to accommodate families in financial need is limited to only a few spaces per week of camp.
Our criteria for offering reduced rates centres around three objectives:
1) Providing returning campers the chance to continue to attend camp in spite of changes in their family’s circumstances
2) Making the camp community a diverse place where children of all backgrounds play together
3) Providing the opportunity to come to camp for children who would benefit most from the experience
If you feel that your child would benefit greatly from attending camp, but are not able to pay the full camp fees, please get in touch by email and we will be happy to discuss your individual case. Also, there are some organisations who have offered funding to parents to send their children to Camp Narnia in the past, and we are happy to receive campers who have been sponsored in this way.
