The Spotlight!
"I've been coming to camp for so long that
I don't remember my life when camp wasn't part
of it."
This summer's Program Director is no newcomer
to Camp Narnia! Ariel Hunt-Brondwin first came
to camp in 1989 when she was 7, back in the day
when the cabins were tents and there was no Pata
Pata. It was a world of blackberry ice cream,
the Beaver Game, hikes up Mt. Maxwell, phosphorescence
in Burgoyne Bay, Barnia, her first Nightwalk and
so much more. Ariel became a LIP at 14 and after
4 years of doing that moved on to being a counsellor,
program staff and LIP Co-ordinator. She's a one-match
fire lighter who firmly believes in doing her
best and enjoying every step. In her words, "camp
is a magical place because of the way it teaches
children to believe in themselves by believing
in Narnia."
